St Peter tells us to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).  In order to strengthen the faith of our children and encourage a life f discipleship in the redemptive grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, GSLC offers a midweek school program for children grades 3-8.  Through instruction in the Old and New Testaments and Luther's Small Catechism, children will be prepared for 8th Grade Confirmation at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

The 8th Grade Class is the the confirmation class.  Confirmation in the Lutheran Church is a ceremony of joyful commitment.  Each confirmand will make a vow to be a faithful disciple of their Lord Jesus Christ throughout their lifetime.  It is the hope and prayer of the church that each confirmand will endeavor to keep their vow by being regular in worship attendance, receive the Lord's Supper regularly, faithful in their devotional and Bible study life, and devoted to a life of loving service to God and other people.  

Classes run every Wednesday evening, 5:45-6:45pm,  Labor Day through Palm Sunday.  Pizza is also offered to students from 5:15-5:45pm for $1 a slice.  However, if you would like your child to have this optional meal, you must register and prepay for the years pizza with your child's class registration.
