Good Shepherd (GSLC) serves the Gretna community and area, and the growth is booming. In a recent GSLC Strategic Plan, it was noted that the population within a 5 mile radius has grown over 200% since 1990. Correspondingly, GSLC's membership grew from 250 in 1990 to 1200 in 2008 - a 380% growth rate. The steady growth and continuing challenges of Good Shepherd keep our ministry fresh and stimulating.

I have served GSLC since 1987 and have experienced a congregation that is Biblically grounded, grace oriented, mission focused, and joy filled. We have a wide age-range of members, but especially a tremendous number of children, youth, and young adults. The Spirit of Christ permeates our fellowship, and I believe strongly that God's hand of blessing will continue to lead us.
